    The story that Annemarie remembered to uncle henrik's boat was Little Red Riding Hood.

    Why did Annemarie choose this fairy tale?

    Annemarie chose this fairy tale because she is running through the woods, she thinks that right in that moment she is like Little Red Riding Hood. She might be thinking bad thought like she will get eaten by a wolf like Little Red did in her story.


    This relates to the story because it is pretty much the same thing like i explained in the paragraph above.

    Abby,
    I think both Little Red Riding-Hood and Annemarie were very brave girls. It has been a long time since I've read Little Red Riding-Hood, but if I'm remembering correctly, Little Red didn't follow her mother's keen advice. Do you remember how she disobeyed her mother? How could the ending of Number the Star be different if Annemarie behaved like Little Red, and she didn't follow her mother's very important advice?
